I grew up in a single-mother family until I was fifteen years old when I was protected by child protection facility due to abuse from my mother. After experiencing temporary child protection, I lived in foster home for two and half years.

After aging out, I went to nursing school and now I am working as a nurse.

When I was a nursing student, I met another person who also experienced foster care, and started involved in foster care activities together. Having gone through so many experiences, including what happened before and after I was protected, as well as aged out of foster care, I’ve come to wish for a society where everyone gets to live their life as who they are.

While working with IFCA, I’d love to learn about my self more deeply and let others know about foster care.

I definitely hope that there would be fewer children falling asleep lonely with tears, and make a society where people can live without being discouraged to give up what they truly wish and dream. That’s my inspiration for my work.
