Nana Miyazaki

I spent the ages of 2 to 9 and three years of high school in an orphanage, the first half of junior high school in a psychiatric ward, and the latter half in a psychological treatment facility for children.

Currently, I'm studying to become a doctor at a university school of medicine.

In the future, I would like to be involved in the primary prevention of child abuse & neglect and the care of abused children from a medical perspective. In addition to that, I would also like to do research on child trauma.

I would like to contribute to the activities of the IFCA while making use of my own experiences and what I learned at university.

Eventually, I would like to use the lessons I have learned through the IFCA activities in my work.

First of all, please take a careful look at the children around you.

Just because they are smiling doesn't mean they are fine.

Just because they don't talk doesn't mean there is nothing wrong with them.

I would like you to be aware that there are children who are quietly emitting an SOS.

I would like to see a future where the human rights of all children are protected, and children can challenge what they want to do with all their might, regardless of the environment in which they were born.
